PRIVACY

We are pleased that you have visited our website and that you are interested in our company and our products. In doing so, we respect your privacy and ensure the protection of your personal data by processing it in accordance with the content of this Privacy Policy and the applicable data protection laws.

You can visit our website without telling us who you are. To display our website, you are only required to provide the data that your browser transmits to our server (see “Logfiles”). Any further personal data will only be stored if you voluntarily enter it on the website or use corresponding functions.

1. Cookies

Cookies are very small text files used by websites that your browser stores on your computer and that can send certain information to us or, where applicable, to a third party.

Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. They store a so-called session ID, which allows various requests from your browser to be assigned to the same session. This enables your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predefined period, which may vary depending on the cookie. In contrast to transient cookies, these are not deleted automatically when the browser is closed. However, you can delete the cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.

Cookies that are strictly necessary in order to provide a service expressly requested by the user ("necessary cookies") are processed by us within the scope of our legitimate interest in providing and operating the website on the basis of Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The following necessary cookies are set when you visit our website:

Name: 2128b329e9f7e35461e397d1f02cdfd1; Purpose: required for login; Storage duration: session
Name: cookieconsent_status; Purpose: storage of the cookie query (allow/deny); Storage duration: session

In addition, information that is not strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user may be stored on or accessed from your device. Such storage or access takes place only if you give your consent. Details on the type of information, the purpose of processing, the storage duration, and possible recipients can be found later in this Privacy Policy. You can configure your browser to generally refuse cookies or to allow only certain cookies to be stored or not stored. For more details, please refer to your browser's help section. If your browser rejects all cookies, not all functionalities of this website may be available.

2. Fanpages

To provide current information to customers, partners, and other interested parties and to interact with them, we operate so-called “fan pages” on the following social networks in addition to our own website: LinkedIn, XING, Instagram.
Data processing in this context is carried out by the provider of the social media platform. Data processing outside the European Union cannot be ruled out. The platform provider may provide us with aggregated usage data; however, we do not have access to personal data as long as you only visit the fan page without further interaction.

The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In cases where consent is obtained through an opt-in mechanism (“checking a box,” “activating a button”) or any other method of obtaining consent, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent may be revoked at any time, without providing reasons, with effect for the future, by contacting the party to whom it was given.

Since data processing is carried out by the platform provider, we recommend that you contact the respective provider regarding your rights related to the visit of our fan page—such as access, rectification, deletion, data portability, and objection. Naturally, we will support you in exercising your rights if needed. In addition, cookies may be placed on your device. The purposes and legal basis for the use of cookies can be found under “Cookies” in this Privacy Policy or in the privacy policies of the respective platform providers.

3. Logfiles

Each time you access our website, we collect the following information about your computer: the IP address of your computer, the request made by your browser, and the time of this request. In addition, the status and the amount of data transferred in connection with this request are recorded, as well as product and version information about the browser used and the operating system of your computer. We also record the website from which you accessed our site.

The IP address of your computer is stored only for the duration of your use of the website and is then immediately deleted or anonymized by shortening it. The remaining data are stored for a limited period of time.

We use this data to operate our website, in particular to identify and correct website errors, to determine website capacity utilization, and to implement adjustments or improvements (legal basis: Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR)

4. Matomo

This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo. With Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data about the use of our website by visitors. This allows us, for example, to determine when which pages were accessed and from which region. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g., IP address, referrer, browser and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g., clicks, purchases, etc.).

The use of this analytics tool is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offerings and its advertising. If consent has been obtained, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Matomo IP Anonymization
When analyzing with Matomo, we use IP anonymization. In this process, your IP address is shortened before analysis so that it can no longer be uniquely assigned to you.

Cookie-Free Analysis
We have configured Matomo so that it does not store any cookies in your browser.

Matomo Hosting
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers, so that all analysis data remain with us and are not shared.

Matomo Opt-Out
You have the option to prevent the actions you perform here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy but will also prevent the site owner from learning from your actions and improving usability for you and other users.

Your visit to this website is currently being tracked by Matomo web analytics. Deselect this checkbox for opt-out.

5. Integrated contents of third parties

If content from third-party providers, such as Google Maps, is displayed on our websites, the transmission of your IP address and the information listed under “Logfiles” to the third-party provider is required in order to provide and display this content in your browser. This serves to present our website attractively. The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. We have no influence on data processing by the third-party provider.

If you are logged into a user account with the third-party provider, the provider may assign your user behavior to your account. The provider may store your data as usage profiles and use it for purposes such as advertising, market research, and/or optimizing its website. Any objections to the creation of such user profiles must be directed to the third-party provider.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the third-party provider can be found in the provider’s privacy policy. There, you can also find more information about your rights and options for protecting your privacy:

Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA; https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/?hl=en
. Google is certified under the EU–US Privacy Shield.

6. Objection to Data Processing

To the extent that we process your personal data based on a balancing of interests pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing. When exercising such an objection, we ask that you provide reasons why we should not process your personal data as described.

In the case of a justified objection, we will examine the situation and either stop or adjust the data processing or inform you of our compelling legitimate reasons for continuing the processing. You may object to the processing of your personal data for advertising and data analysis purposes at any time.

You can send your revocation or objection to us using the contact details provided under “Data Controller.”

7. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access: You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether we are processing data concerning you. If we are processing such data, you have the right to access information about the nature and circumstances of the data processing (Art. 15 GDPR).

Right to rectification: You have the right to correct inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR) or to request the deletion of your data, provided the requirements of Art. 17(1) GDPR are met.

Right to object: You have the right to object to processing under the conditions described above (Art. 21 GDPR).

Right to data portability: You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transmit it to another controller under the conditions of Art. 20 GDPR.
